So why can’t they use alternators, or if they do how come they don’t charge the battery hardly

….you then plug into the house. So the power plant burns some kind of fuel to give you the power to your house and then to your car.So add that to the price to run your car.
$2.00 worth of household electricity…..ah no …you can’t say that if you don’t know the sizes of the batteries. Most of the plug it cars will take 8 hours to charge if ran down most of the way. Do that every night you notice a big change in your bill.

Think about this before you convert. You could be arrested as a terrorist! A guy around here in upstate NY had all his research confiscated and was told to not mess with this technology. You are breaking Federal anti terrorist laws if you mess with it! The government does not want any alternative fuels, then it cannot wage these wars!

lets say you already have a POS prius.
      and you get 50mpg..
you now double your mpg to 100mpg. lets do simple math
you drive 15 miles to work so 30 miles round trip. thats 150 miles a week.
take 150 times 52(weeks in a year) thats 7800. Divide that by 50(mpg). that makes 156 gallons used per year. take 156 times 4(dollars per gallon) thats 624 dollars a year in gas. now Divide that by two.(you doubled mpg to 100mpg) thats 312. Now, 10,000/312=32.05 years to pay off your stupid new “gas saver”

The future of transportation is electricity. All we have to do is continue to make it known to the public.

You people are totally missing the point. You will probably save like $1000 a year with this conversion. So you will have to drive for 10 years JUST TO BRAKE EVEN. Not to mention how expensive those batteries are and that a prious has 2 engines which may require work in the future AND the extra cost of a hybrid itsself. And how much will your electric bill go up after this? So it will be waaayy over 10 years for you to brake even, and then (if your car still runs) you will actually start saving.

I don’t know, $10000.00 buys a lot of gasoline… They need to get the price down top a realistic level before the average person will buy into this. Just like the VCR which was $1500 and big clunky no frills basic functionality, to $50.00 at Walmart today, if you can find one. All it takes is pressure and time.
