@oXe2 of course you don’t. they are, probably, about the mechanical stuff. i guess they mean the powertraine systems only. still i don’t think it was SO SECRETE, so remarking “military techs” is just an advertising trick..

@Ctrl952 update: Fisker autos will also be built in a reclaimed GM plant in Wilmington, Delaware. (Good idea to avoid Euro fluctuations while getting production closer to largest potential market.: the Karma’s 4-cylinder gasoline on-board recharger is a GM motor, even when the chassis are assembled in Finland.)

I don’t understand why it has 400hp and goes from 0-60 in 6 seconds but tops out at 125 mph

I understand where that kid is coming from. Because I love the sound of a nice european engine, but electrics where its at now. And once it’s perfected, the performance will eclipse that of gasoline cars. Electricity is instantaneous, and not as many moving mechanical parts are needed to move it.

I sat in this at the 2009 NY auto show…very nice..the solar panel is about 200 watts so if it charged the battery when parked in the sun you’d get a couple of miles extra per day at best…

The interesting thing is I just read that he (Fisker) re-adjusted the estimated mpg to 67.2, which is also exactly the average world life expectancy of a human.
