Visit us at www.youtube.com connectedlife.wm.wizzard.tv Ian Clifford — founder of Toronto-based, Zenn Motors — has taken a lead role in the production of Canadian electric cars. The Zenn — or Zero-Emission-No-Noise car — is a 100% electric vehicle that travels at a regulated maximum speed of 40 km/hr — and can travel about 60 kilometers on a single charge. It has an energy consumption equivalent to 245 mpg — and is 80% recharged in only 4 hours. Using a ZENN instead of a conventional car could eliminate over 6 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere each year. The car uses a plug that fits into a regular wall socket and each charge adds only about 35 cents to the average electricity bill. But, even though the car is for sale in over 40 US States, bureaucratic hurdles continue to prevent its approval for sale in Canada. At $14000 – the Zenn could be exactly what Enviro-conscious consumers have been looking for. Recently, Al Gore lent his support to the company. Hopefully, legislation will change so that these cars can be sold in Canada. Connected Life Connectedlife dave chalk bradley Shende
